Philip Reitsperger is Managing Director at Identity Lab. Driven by his curiosity Philip explores analytical and creative opportunities alike. As a designer and researcher, he sees himself at the gap between thinking and creation. He develops ideas and concepts for research, communication, brands, places, and events. Recently Philip has been living between Vienna and London. He is co-founder of the Viennese design research studio Identity Lab and Senior Design Strategist at Studio INTO in London. Latest projects include the strategic consulting for an event encouraging European identity, design research for a Bangkok-based multipurpose building, the lead in a research project on apprentices in Austria, and the development of an interactive research tool for passenger transportation in Cairo. One of his project was awarded the Europe State Award 2017.
Philip’s aim in projects, commercially or artistically, is focused on creating proposals that lead to new and creative approaches that value people and their surrounding. Throughout the past years, he has worked with clients from various places and industries, inter alia UK, Norway, Japan, the US, or Russia. Philip holds a Mag. art in Graphics and Advertising from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and an MA in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins London. He is a PhD student in the Design History and Theory Department of the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
