Privacy policy

We place the highest importance on handling your personal data with respect and confidentiality. Please read this privacy policy carefully. It shows you which data is collected from you and how it is handled. It applies to you when you visit and use our website and related services.

These privacy policy applies only to the pages on our website. If any links on our website lead you to third-party websites, please see the privacy statements that you find there.

1. In general
We do not collect your personal information unless you choose to provide that information to us. Your information will never be sold to third-parties. All email addresses will be kept totally private. This means that we won’t publish or sell them, and will only use them to contact their respective owners. By entering an email address, whether your own or someone else’s, you grant us permission to use them. We won’t spam anyone, but be prepared to receive an occasional email about our event.

1.1 Information collected and stored
We use Google Analytics to analyse the visits and visitors of our website. When you browse through our website, certain information about you can be collected. We automatically collect and temporarily store the information about your visit. The information includes your request, time and path followed on the website, IP address, browser type and language, device, and the date and time of your request. We use this information for statistical purposes and to help us make our site more useful to visitors.

2. General information about the use of cookies
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer or mobile device that enables our web features and functionality. The use of Cookies also enables you to easily share interesting content from our website with your friends from any social media network. We are using two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies. Session cookies are stored for the duration of the current session, i.e. usually for the visit to a website or until you close the internet browser. A persistent cookie remains in your browser and permits its recognition when you return to the website. This allows us to improve your access to our website.

2.1 Controlling cookies
Most web-browsers allow you to control cookies through their setting preferences, so you can prevent storage of cookies by choosing a 'disable cookies' option in your browser settings. But this can limit the functionality of what we offer and provide on our website as a result. So if you do not want to receive cookies, you just have to change your browser settings on your computer or other device you’re using to access the internet. To be assured that you have disabled cookies you will see an opted-out cookie on your browser-device. In this case we will be unable to set cookies to your device next time you visit us.

If you use our website without changing your browser settings, we will assume that you are happy to receive the cookies that we use. Please note that our website will have limited functionality when cookies are disabled on your device.

2.2 What kind of third-party cookies do we use?
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies stored on your device to enable analysis of website usage by you. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. In case of activated IP anonymization on our website, your IP address is previously truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases a full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of us, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this website, compile reports about website activities, and provide us with further services related to website and Internet usage. The IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data by Google.

You can prevent storage of cookies by appropriately setting your browser software; in this case, however, please note that you might not be able to fully use all functions offered by this website.
In addition to refuse the Google Analytics cookie by changing your browser settings, you can prevent data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google, by downloading and installing a browser plug-in from the following opt-out link.

4. The communication between us
Should you have any questions you can contact us at any time via email. We will save your message in order to reply as quickly as possible and to track and improve our support service. Your information will only be used to process your request.

By subscribing to our newsletter your email address is only used to send a newsletter to you. Cancellation is possible at any time by clicking on the link that you will find in any newsletter.

We take every effort to protect the information we collect. The safety of your information is fundamental to us. However, methods of transmission over the Internet and electronic storage, can never be a hundred percent secure. Therefore we cannot guarantee that your data is absolutely safe. We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide our services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

5. Disclosure
If you are concerned about your data you have the right of free-of-charge information about the personal data which we may hold or process about you. You have an entitlement to correction, blocking or deletion of your personal data at any stage. Your inquiries can be directed to: contact@servicedesigndays.com

6. Changes to this privacy policy
We may change our privacy policy from time to time. Your rights, however, will not be reduced without good reason. All changes to the privacy policy will be listed on this page.

In case of any doubt or concern regarding this privacy policy, please feel free to contact us.

Terms & conditions

We invite you to the Service Design Days. You will find all necessary information about the event on this website. Consider that by booking your participation in the event, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions set out the terms and conditions between you and the organizer of the event (see paragraph 12). By registering and purchasing tickets for the event you agree to the following:

1. Scope
These terms and conditions govern the ticket sale for and the execution of the Service Design Days. Please read them carefully before you decide to attend and place an order for a ticket.

2. Tickets
For your attendance at the Service Design Days we provide different ticket types as you can learn from our website. In order to purchase a ticket go to the tickets page on our website, choose your ticket type and click the ‘get’-button. You will then be linked to the website of our ticketing partner (Eventbrite) where you will be asked to choose your ticket type again and fill in your invitee information.

Tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances, including but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition. Where there has been any re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.

2.1 Attendees
This event is organised for senior level decision makers and influencers, such as CEOs, CMOs, CIOs, (Digital) Marketing Directors, Change Managers, Program Managers and Innovation Managers. We will ask for your position/role within your company during the purchase of your ticket. Please make sure that this information is in line with the ambition of the event, and that the chosen position is valid and true. The Service Design Days organizers reserve the right to refuse your admittance in case of false information or a position that is not in line with the one provided.

2.2 Ticket types
For our ‘Early Birds’ we offer special ticket prices because the event program is not completely formatted at that time. Registration period as well as availability is limited. There is no right to cancel or return your ticket, even if the program changes. You may transfer your ticket to another person until two weeks prior to the official start of the event. Also read paragraph 2.1 regarding attendees and paragraph 7 about transfers.

Regular tickets will be available for both days of the event. We offer a special price for a two-day pass that allows you to attend the event on both days. If you have ordered and paid for one day, and want to attend the other day, you need to buy a separate ticket for that day, without any discount. You may transfer your ticket to another person until two weeks prior to the official start of the event. Also read paragraph 2.1 regarding attendees and paragraph 7 about transfers.

2.3 Tickets provided to sponsors
Being a sponsor (type: main, active or supportive), you will receive an amount of free tickets for the event, which can be spread amongst your firm or your business relations. See paragraph 2.1 regarding attendees. You have to register the respective persons within the buying-procedure. You have the possibility to edit this information and change the persons attending our conference until two weeks prior to the official start of the event. The registered people of your firm have admittance to both days of the event at the year of sponsoring. Besides that, main and general sponsors are also offered the possibility to offer a limited amount of discount tickets which can be offered to business relations. The amount and discount percentage depends on the level of sponsorship. See paragraph 2.1 regarding attendees.

3. Conclusion of contract and delivery
For our ticket buying process we make use of Eventbrite. Eventbrite is a leading event booking service provider, processing the whole booking process. Together with basic invitee information you need to give further registration information on their secured website. You have to fill in all required information to proceed your booking. Please make sure that this information is valid and true. The Service Design Days organizers reserve the right to refuse your admittance in the case of false information.

By clicking the ‘Order Now’-button you accept our terms and conditions and you send us a legally binding offer to buy the chosen ticket from us. By sending you our confirmation email we accept your offer to buy. This email contains a summary of your registration information. Please check the listed information.

4. Pricing
The offered ticket prices on our website and on the website of our ticketing partner are the final prices exclusive of Dutch VAT. If you were provided with a discount code, the discounted price will be presented to you by our ticketing partner after entering your code.

5. Payment
To complete your registration and the ticket-buying-process you have the option to choose between different payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Sepa and iDeal. The secured online payment process will be provided by Eventbrite. For details see www.eventbrite.com.

6. Refund and cancellation policy
All purchases of tickets are non-refundable. In the event that the purchaser is a consumer and to whom the European Directive on Consumer Rights (Directive 2011 / 83/ EU) applies, this consumer is entitled to a cooling off period of fourteen days which begins on the day of the purchase.
Please consider that you may have the option to transfer your ticket to a third-party (see paragraph 2 and 7). No refunds will be given to you if you fail to attend our event (no-show) or fail to be on time for whatever reason. Tickets are not taken back.

We will not be responsible for tickets that are lost or stolen.

In the unlikely case of cancellation of the event, we will inform you by email at the address you shared with us in your invitee information at any time prior to the event start date. In these cases you will be entitled to withdraw from the contract and we will refund your ticket payment. We are limited to the amount that remains after credit card and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted. We are not responsible for other expenses you already made.

7. Right to transfer tickets
Until two weeks prior to the official start of the event you may transfer your ticket to a third party. In order to transfer your ticket you can alter your registration on Eventbrite or inform us by email. Also read paragraph 2.1 regarding attendees.

8. Event content
We do not accept responsibility for the provided content in keynotes, masterclasses and other services during the Service Design Days. Opinions expressed are those of individual speakers and not necessarily those of the organizers of the Service Design Days.

8.1 Changes to the program
The program and lineups for both event days are subject to change at any time and are not guaranteed. We therefore reserve the right to make changes to the program. For example, if an announced speaker is unable to attend the event. By changing the program or lineup we are not obliged to refund (a part of) the ticket(s) being purchased. This holds true for Early Bird tickets and two-day passes as well as for regular tickets and two-day passes.

8.2. Filming, photographing and sound recording
We reserve the right to film, record or photograph at the event for marketing purposes. By attending our conference you agree to be filmed, recorded and/or photographed. Furthermore you agree to the use of videos, recordings or images, in which you may be seen or heard. In addition you give us permission to share and store this content on third-party platforms. If you do not want to be portrayed, please inform cameramen or photographers at the event.

It is prohibited to make videos of our event. It is allowed to take pictures for personal use and for use on social media but only if a speaker agrees. Commercial use of pictures is only allowed with written prior permission by the organizer of the event (see paragraph 12).

9. Behavior and conduct
Harassment of event participants (attendees, keynote speakers, masterclass leaders, staff) will be not tolerated in any form. Any participant engaging in these activities may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event organizers. We have the right to remove participants who do not comply with our regulations or (threaten to) disturb the peace. In these cases, they are not entitled to compensation.

10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any loss, which may arise from reliance on information contained on this website or other websites, which may be linked to our site from time to time. We will perform any services with reasonable skill and care, but we will not be liable for erroneous information on our website and related sites. Liability for claims of damages for contractual, quasi-contractual, tortious or other legal grounds is excluded.
These exclusions and limitations of liability will also apply in favour of us and third-parties contracted by us in the performance of the event. Limitation of liability does not apply in case life, body or health is harmed or if harm is due to wilful misconduct or grossly negligence or if the breach is due to non-fulfilment of an essential cardinal obligation; it will not apply if we have given a guarantee; nor will it apply for damages which are to be compensated under Dutch law. In the above matters, liability is unlimited. This applies for direct damages as well as for indirect damages. Furthermore other mandatory legal claims on liability remain unaffected.

10.1 Force majeure
We reserve the right to cancel, suspend or vary the operation of our obligations to you if events occur which are in the nature of force majeure including (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) war, fire, flood, storms, plant breakdowns, strikes, lock outs, riot, hostilities, non-availability of material, speakers or suppliers, or any event outside of our control. We shall not be held liable or cover your expenses for any breach of contract or tort resulting from such an event. In short: we are not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of the event.

10.2 Travel and other expenses
In the case we provided you with names of hotels, restaurants, travel agents, airline companies or others, we are not responsible and cannot be held liable for their failures, lack of quality, delays, etc.

11.  Data protection
We will treat your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy (see above). We will use your information for administration, communication and research activities related to this event only.

Please consider that Eventbrite provides the ticket-ordering and ticket-payment process. Thus, for more information about how Eventbrite handles your data, please go to www.eventbrite.com.
