Itziar Pobes is a service designer based in Barcelona. In the past few years, she has been working on projects related to entertainment, energy, mobility and environment, ageing and health, education, social services, and more for for-profit and public organisations. She uses ethnography, user-centred design, citizen involvement and co-creation to create successful digital, non-digital and omnichannel services rooted in compelling and meaningful face-to-face experiences. Former co-founder of the agency We Question Our Project, Itziar now works mainly as a contractor for the experience design team at King.
She is Program Lead at the Master in Service Design at IED Istituto Europeo di Design Barcelona and a visiting lecturer in service design & innovation at several design, business, and government schools in Spain and abroad. Itziar uses her spare time to foster service design and share her knowledge and experience at events such as the Barcelona GovJam and conferences like Service Design Days and Service Design in Government. Itziar holds a Master’s Degree in Service Innovation and Design (SID) from Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
