Silvia Calvet is Associate Director of Experience Design at King, a leading interactive entertainment company and the makers of Candy Crush. She works at the intersection of business, technology and users. With a strong background in consultancy, in the last few years she has been working with and leading digital product teams.
At King, Silvia and her team, focus on improving end to end player experiences by introducing a service design mindset within the company, analysing and defining experiences, mapping customer journeys with the use of player personas, and moving from user's needs to an holistic understanding of players, their thinking-styles and context. This results in multidisciplinary teams having more resources to put themselves in the players’ shoes to discover new short term and long term opportunities for the global audience of the Candy Crush Franchise.
Silvia is passionate about designing for and with people. She loves to mix and blend design and product frameworks with agile and coaching approaches, to align teams and support them in achieving business results through an improved discovery phase, collaborative solutions definition and product development.
Silvia studied Information Sciences and completed her education with an e-business MBA. She has been a speaker in conferences such as Interaction, EuroAI and Agile Spain. And she’s the co-founder of IxDA Barcelona and founder of UX book club Barcelona.
