Karis Aue is Design Director and Partner at Chemistry, a strategic design consultancy focusing on planet centric design. As a seasoned designer and creative leader with over 17 years of experience across Europe and Asia, Karin brings together a powerful mix of strategic level consultancy experience and a deep passion for impact-driven projects. Her expertise as a strategic designer and consultant was formed from working with renowned companies and institutions, such as IDEO, KesselsKramer, Tama BI Art University and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, prior to joining Chemistry.
Her ultimate goal as a designer is to drive positive and sustainable change. Drawing upon her wealth of experience in strategic consulting and her commitment to impact-driven projects, Karin has dedicated her practice to the transition towards a more inclusive and regenerative society. She believes in a planet-centred and participatory approach to design, where we think and act on a systems level to ensure the long-term thriving of organisations, communities, and the planet.
Towards this goal, Karin regularly facilitates Masterclasses on Circular Business Models and Circular Design strategies to accelerate organisations‘ transition towards a circular, regenerative, and sustainable economy. She is a regular keynote speaker and subject matter expert on human- and planet-centred Innovation and Design. She holds a Master’s in Communication Design from the University of Applied Arts, Vienna (Austria) and a Master's in Creative Practice for Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins (London, UK).
