Service designer, DELA
Iris Roijakkers is a designer with expertise in service design, design research, and systems thinking. Driven by designing for highly complex and human challenges, she has worked on topics ranging from personal health ecosystems to topics such as digital transformation and customer-centric organisational change.
In her work, Iris adopts a people-centric, holistic, and systemic approach. Through design research and analytical thinking, she unravels the underlying 'why' behind every design challenge. Navigating complexity through compelling narratives and visualisations, she connects the dots, crafting end-to-end experiences and engages the right individuals and disciplines to enhance the overall experience collaboratively.
Iris alternates between application and reflection of design approaches to tackle tangible customer needs while advancing the design discipline itself. Her commitment to perpetual refinement extends to personal and collective design methodologies and tools.
Currently, Iris works as an in-house service designer at DELA, where she explores the topic of grief. Prior to this, she worked at Philips, and she played a role in Service Design Days 2022, where she led a masterclass on navigating complexity in organisational transformation.
