Cecilia MoSze Tham is Principal and Future Synthesist at Futurity Studio, a research and design venture studio. She is also the Founder of Makers of Barcelona, FabCafe Barcelona, and Allwomen.tech. These three initiatives - a co-working, a maker cafe and AI training school for women by women - have taught her how to develop an idea to launch and to create sustainable businesses. An entrepreneur at heart, a designer and biologist by training, and a maker for life, Cecilia is an innovation activist empowering communities and organisations with exponential technologies.
She worked at Alpha, Telefónica’s innovation arm, briefed to build moonshots to address some of society’s biggest problems, as a Social Technologist in the intersection of technology, impact, and business opportunity. The focus of her work was to validate, de-risk and develop those solutions for launch.
Architecture taught her many transferable skills, especially how to synthesize complex designs, merging different and sometimes opposing needs and realities, into long term solutions. Cecilia received her Master as an architect at Harvard University as well as a degree in biology from Emory University. Cecilia has been an adjunct professor at Parsons New School, a professor of Social Innovation Change at Toulouse Business School, a product strategy expert at Google Developers Group and a mentor at Google Launchpad and Harvard Innovation Lab. She is an Advisor at United Nations WFP-X. She dedicates her time and work to scalable impact driven ventures.
