Stefano Bianchini is an innovation strategist at Continuum, a global innovation design consultancy. He has experience in building service systems and has a passion for design research with ethnographic approach.
As a senior designer he leads and works with teams for decoding people’s needs, desires, values, aspirations and frictions across specific journeys, and translating and unpacking those insights into solutions that are relevant for all system’s stakeholders and actionable from an organization standpoint.
He recently led two programs for social and financial inclusion in the Middle East; worked on an innovation project for the City of Pisa, and investigated service scenarios for urban mobility, supporting financial companies and automotive brands to innovate and serve cities in a better way. Thanks to that, he won with his team an IDEA award for Service Design in 2016 for the ‘Audi on demand’ program.
Stefano conducted design research with ethnographic approach in countries such as Germany, Austria, UK, Spain, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and USA. He started his career at IDEO and worked for international clients among which American Express, BBVA, Indesit, BMW and Royal Unibrew. Stefano holds a Master of Science in Service System Design and a Bachelor of Art in Design, and collaborates with Milan Polytechnic for Design Thinking and Innovation workshops.
