David Mattin leads TrendWatching's global team of analysts. TrendWatching is a well-known independent and opinionated trend firm scanning the globe for promising consumer trends and insights from around the world. The agency is based in London, but works with a global network of trend spotters who scan their markets for the best new products, services and campaigns. It’s the agency's belief that by looking at game-changing new innovations they can identify powerful new trends that help discern where consumers are, where they’re heading next, and how to reach them. David brings trends to life about technological, social and cultural change. As an innovation and consumer insight expert, he is regularly quoted across UK broadsheets and by international media.

After graduating from the University of Cambridge, David’s career began at the features desk of The Times. Since then, his business, innovation and trends journalism has appeared everywhere from Fast Company to the Guardian to Google Think Quarterly. An experienced broadcaster, David also has written and presented documentaries for BBC Radio. David is co-author of Trend-Driven Innovation.
